PDFStay reproducible tool checks
This is a first-party compatibility record, not a customer case study, independent review, or performance ranking. It documents browser-based checks for the public PDFStay routes below.
Method and limits
Self-authored, non-sensitive fixtures under CC0 1.0 are used for each check. The SHA-256 value identifies the documented fixture recipe, not a customer file. Checks run in Chromium through Playwright on a desktop CI browser context.
Each compatibility record names the input scenario, expected output check, and known boundary. The fixed compression fixtures below publish byte counts and reduction percentages only for the stated browser environment; no cross-device timing, universal quality, or product-ranking claim is published.
How to cite this record
This record establishes
- The documented input type, output type, and route-specific Free / Pro boundary.
- The recorded browser processing method and the output check for the published fixture recipe.
- That the listed result was checked in the stated Chromium and Playwright environment.
This record does not establish
- A fixed compression ratio, cross-device performance result, or universal visual-quality score.
- Support for every encrypted, damaged, or otherwise unsupported source file.
- A product ranking, independent review, customer case study, or AggregateRating.
Documented checks
| Tool route | Fixture and hash | Pages | Method | Output check | Boundary |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| /compress-pdf | text-pdf-1-page-v1 sha256:5e2b3bba2bf5aabd618165adca1c6560dbedf851684226339c193cf7d9736616 |
1 | Choose one PDF, keep the default compression setting, then download the resulting PDF. | The exported file is a readable PDF and remains downloadable in the browser session. | Compression results depend on the source PDF. PDFStay does not claim a fixed size reduction or visual-quality score. |
| /batch-compress-pdf | pdf-pair-1-page-v1 sha256:0b80fb7089cde347f702793529a30fd0f4028aa7f4f9d1a44a7480f53fc412fc |
2 | Add two PDFs to the batch queue, process the queue, then download the batch result. | Each completed item exposes a result and the batch download is a ZIP archive. | The check verifies queue and download behavior, not a guaranteed compression ratio for every source file. |
| /compress-images-in-pdf | image-heavy-pdf-2-page-v1 sha256:f412fe0eda2caeae982c85b60f65e883018a5148573ad4350066c32899811b43 |
2 | Choose an image-heavy PDF and run the image-compression workflow with its default setting. | The result downloads as a PDF after the image-compression workflow completes. | Image compression is source-dependent; no fixed file-size or image-fidelity result is promised. |
| /compress-scanned-pdf | scan-pdf-3-page-v1 sha256:414663a30de11d75f47afdafeba5a96a870da31c3994bd6e2d51bbb479cf5ded |
3 | Choose a scan-style PDF and process it with the default balanced scan setting. | The result is downloadable as a PDF after processing. | The check does not claim OCR, text recovery, or identical visual output from every scanned source. |
| /merge-pdf | pdf-pair-1-page-v1 sha256:d82cad4115852ad07c27d9f56a5079ebe8fb7ac6b82255e9d841584c67c54564 |
2 | Add two PDFs, arrange their order, and export the merged document. | The export is one readable PDF containing both fixture documents in the selected order. | The check covers basic merge order and PDF export, not unsupported encrypted or damaged inputs. |
| /split-pdf | text-pdf-3-page-v1 sha256:35342b96819d91f49d7a4943545a0ffe397365890fb739df804adab6b0178112 |
3 | Choose a multi-page PDF, select one page range, and export the selected pages. | The export is one PDF containing the chosen range. | The check verifies basic page-range export only; it does not claim support for all PDF structures. |
| /extract-pdf-pages | text-pdf-3-page-v1 sha256:27c324d317490fb08cba1a029c5696657eab9f8373edd23529a8056446b5d42c |
3 | Choose a multi-page PDF, select individual pages, and export the selection. | The export is one PDF containing the selected pages. | The check covers selected pages in one file, not batch extraction or password-protected PDFs. |
| /organize-pdf | text-pdf-3-page-v1 sha256:cbd1392956dad103a3edbb1b9d48517c36af9a562e355a24908c677642a606ef |
3 | Choose one PDF, reorder pages, rotate one page, remove one page, and export the full document. | The export is a readable PDF with the requested page operations applied. | The check verifies the basic operations on one fixture; it does not promise preservation of every advanced PDF feature. |
| /reorder-pdf-pages | text-pdf-3-page-v1 sha256:d40e5c81ee74f94473b204ff7a8055dd6055c4d6703d0a16022903530b22ff77 |
